ItemsFresh Fish, Defiled Fish Scales, Defiled Fish Scales, Defiled Fish Scales, Imp Blood, Putrid Bile

A zone's levels are those most of its attackable spawns came at with no difficulty, the odd few at either end left out; an item source's are its own at the difficulty the item dropped at. The suggested level is the highest of their low ends.

Step 1: Nikko Canti in Lake Nerius

How it starts:

Say “Hail”:

Oi, you there! Are you the one who's been sneak thieving my fish!? Well come on now was it you or [not]?
Great, thanks for that, however while you were gone I reeled in something awful. I cut my line before I could get it all the way to shore, but it looked like some kind zombie fish! If the Blight thats been spreading across this land has corrupted the river and lake then we are all in serious danger! The ghosts and animated skeletons are awful, yes. But infection of the waterway could mean the loss of the only remaining clean food source in the area. We need to gather proof and validate what I saw immediately!

Say “not”:

Bah! And I suppose you [haven`t seen] anyone else around here then? Maybe with an arm full of half cured fish?

Say “haven`t seen”:

Dagnabbit! This has been happening more and more these days. I can forgive a fish or two taken by a hungry traveler, but my whole stock is missing. Again! How am I supposed to [feed] my family when cured fish are pilfered away right before they are ready?

Say “feed”:

Would you be willing to [help] me restock my catch so that my family may eat?

Say “help”:

That's so kind of you! Here I have an old fishing pole you can use, and some bait!
Hand in3 Fresh Fish
Gives backthe task's next step

Answers the hand-in:

Oh wow, you actually managed to catch something other than a piranha? These piranhas have been becoming a huge nuisance, eating the fish I've hooked, snapping my lines, and, well, eating up the actually edible fish. I even got bit by one yesterday! I don't think we`re going to have any luck reducing the piranha population through fishing alone. You seem pretty competent and skilled. is there anything you can do to quell their numbers?

Step 2: Nikko Canti in Lake Nerius

Hand in1 Defiled Fish Scales
Gives backDefiled Fish Scales
Faction+10 Nerius Trade Association

Answers the hand-in:

Nikko Cantirecoils in horror from the corrupted fish scales you hand him. Oh no, this is bad. This is very bad! We need to get help. I know an alchemist who may be able to help stop this foulness. Dorian is no friend of this blight and its possible he can leverage his alchemical arts to help. He has been spending his time at the tradespersons building with the foreign alchemy merchants. Bring him these disgusting scales to him and maybe he will have a solution.

Step 3: Dorian G`Wyn in Lake Nerius

Hand in1 Defiled Fish Scales
Gives backthe task's next step

Answers the hand-in:

What's this now? Oh. Ohhh. Nikko was right to send you for help! This is extremely problematic to our cause. I may be able to mitigate the onset at least. If the underwater blighting is as strong as it is overland, slowing the progress may be all we can do. Alchemy is wonderful at many things, but it does require many and varied reagents. I'll start my study of these scales immediately, but I'll need you to fetch some supplies we will surely need if we're going to save the lake. Alchemical supplies come from a wide array of sources. For what we`re facing I will at least need some lava drake bile. Hmmm, also some Imp's blood. You should be able to source both north of here in the mountains.

Step 4: Dorian G`Wyn in Lake Nerius

Hand in1 Imp Blood, 1 Putrid Bile
Gives backthe task's next step

Answers the hand-in:

Ahh, excellent! I've got a plan that I think will work, but it's going to take my full attention for some time. Saving the lake is critical but I also have several vital tasks that will now be unattended. I obviously can't leave this work half done, but its imperative to everyone here that the plans I've already set in motion succeed. I beseech thee, please [assist], for the sake of us all!
